Frequently asked questions about Apple Pay

What if I lose my iPhone or other device?

If you have lost your iPhone, there is no need to block your card, as your card data is not stored on the iPhone. Go to icloud.com/find, log in with your Apple ID account, and try to find your iPhone. If you are unsuccessful, apply Lost Mode, which will block your device. You will also be able to disconnect the device from your Apple Pay account.

If I can't add a card to Apple Wallet?

Check that you're able to use Apple Pay. Update to the latest version of iOS or iPadOS, watchOS, or macOS.
Check for services outages or connection issues.
If you see the message "Could Not Add Card" or "Invalid Card," contact your credit union

Will a customer get a notification for declined transactions?

Customer will get notifications for declined and accepted transactions.

How many cards can I add to one device?

You can add 12 cards to an iPhone X, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus or Apple Watch Series 3. Other devices can save up to 8.

How long will my cards last in Wallet?

Cards expire date is the same as physical card

Will I see transactions on my iPhone?

Yes, latest transactions made by iPhone will be shown.

Can I add a card again if deleted once?

Yes, you can re-provision.

How can I choose between cards for payments?

One of your cards is set as your default card (Apple Pay will ask you to indicate which), but all your cards will be visible at the bottom of the Apple Wallet. Simply select the card you wish to use for that specific payment.

Do I need an internet connection to pay?

Internet connection is not required

How to pay using Apple Pay in stores?

1. Double-click the side button. Authenticate with Face ID or enter your passcode.
2. Authenticate with Face ID or enter your passcode.
3. Hold the top of your iPhone near the contactless reader until you see Done and a checkmark on the display.
4. Done!

How much does Apple Pay cost to use?

Hundreds of thousands of stores now accept Apple Pay. You can use Apple Pay anywhere that accepts Contactless payments. And you can now make payments for any amount with Apple Pay.

In-app purchases

Many apps now accept Apple Pay, so you don’t have to enter your card details to make in-app purchases. Simply select Apple Pay at the checkout and use Touch ID or Face ID to complete your payment.

On the web

Apple Pay is also available on the web in Safari. Whether you’re shopping or donating on iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch or Mac, use Apple Pay without having to create an account or log in.
